Get ready to light up the season! The Cozad Chamber is excited to announce our annual Christmas Light Competition for both residential homes and commercial businesses within city limits.
Competition Details:
🏠 Eligibility: All participating homes and businesses must be located within Cozad city limits.
💡 Decorations: All forms of holiday decorations are welcome—be creative and festive!
🌟 Lighting Period: Displays must be lit each evening from December 1st through December 14th.
🏆 Winners Announced: Monday, December 15th.
📸 Winner Photo Night: Please be prepared to take a photo of your display the evening of December 15th.
🎁 Prizes (per category):
1st Place – $100
2nd Place – $75
3rd Place – $50
✨ Bonus! All participating addresses will be shared with the Cozad Rotary for possible inclusion in the Polar Express route—a magical way to showcase your holiday spirit to the community!

REMINDER…. No trailers are allowed to be parked on City Streets effective October 1st. Campers and trailers are no longer permitted to be parked on the streets until April 1st. Construction crews can stop at the city office for a permit if they are working at a residence. Thank you!
The Board of Public Works is accepting applications for a Journeyman Lineman/Apprentice. The ideal candidate will possess a valid CDL or ability to obtain, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience as a line helper or schooling equivalent. The Board of Public Works offers competitive pay and a benefits package to include insurance, pension, and paid leave.
